I like DeSantis but I believe that picking Gabbard would give him a boost with some crossover appeal. Ramaswamy would't be a bad choice either. Not too familiar with Donalds.

Whoever you put up as VP automatically becomes the frontrunner for 2028, and I don't want that to be gun grabbing Tulsi. Putting Tulsi up won't even get a win in Hawaii for Trump.

Let's recall Reagan's very successful terms (amnesty excepted, of course). That put New World Order Bush in office, who, despite being able to capitalize on the fall of the Soviet Union and the "peace dividend," still managed to screw the country enough that they rebelled and brought Bill Clinton to us.

Trump maaaaayyyyybee would get 12-13% of the black vote. That's the upper limit. Having a token as VP isn't going to increase that percentage, and honestly, if Tim Scott was NOT black, would anyone be throwing his name in the hat? He's milquetoast and, just like Hill-Dawg, whips out his "black" accent on demand when talking to black audiences. I don't like that. Talk to me the same way, period.

From a "what is best for the US" standpoint, absolutely, but from an election standpoint, he has no draw for anyone who isn't already a Trump voter. He's Trump 2.0.
