These 4-5 people have done their time. You're a guest in a foreign country whether it is regular travel spots like Turks, Cancun or SE Asia areas. They don't fk around.

Seems that Judge realizes if these people spend years in prison, tourism is all but dead. The point has been made by Turks.
Due to circumstances I had my 28 gauge Remington 1100 shot gun (Skeet gun) with me when we were staying at Cumberland head campsite (NYS) back in the late 1970s. Wife talked me into going into Canada to see Man and his world exhibit. Did not want to leave that expensive gun in a tent so I broke it down and carefully packed in in the tool box in the back of my PU.

Young and dumb I knew nothing about laws so we left the US and headed to Canada. Asked at the border if I had to do anything as I had a shot gun with me. Official was nice and he said no as long as your not planning to rob a bank or something like that. I said no and said welcome to Canada. Spent the day and was coming home. Left Canada and hit US. Official on the border noticed a empty shot shell on the dash and asked do you have a gun with you. Told him yes and said do you have proof that you bought the gun in US. If not they would seize the gun until you paid a import duty on it if you could not pay it now on the spot.

He said that was the law, but after a few more minuets of getting chewed out he said go ahead. Found out later he was completely right but for some reason he let us proceed back into the country. Note at no time either Canada or US was the tool box the gun was in opened. Dam right I got lucky, thanks again officer!
