I have the same lightweight aluminum ladder I use constantly, I generally don't stand on the top unless on hard surface and have something sturdy to hang onto.
I don't bounce like I used to.
One of the benefits of that ladder is it flexes so if get out of shape it's forgiving plus it doesn't kill you after you fall when it falls on you... So I've heard
