OK, you didn't say above what the MRI found. Do you have a herniation at L5? What is impinging the nerve there. If there is a herniation, the ice and anti-inflammatories are the way to go. Don't be afraid to use a little heat in the area two, to promote blood flow which is essential for healing.

As I understand it, it's a bulging disc at L5. Was referred to Ortho and they want to try physical therapy first.
Last night sucked bad, couldn't stop the pain and was just miserable. I need to get this fixed soon.
