I don't know. There are folk here from a broad cross section of our country and with all manner of life experiences and political bents. We will almost certainly never unanimously agree on any single point but maybe we can all tone the rhetoric and personal attacks down just a bit. When I first joined here this was a much smaller corner of the web and most folk who posted regularly tended to be a lot more tolerant of opposing viewpoints and not so ready to take offense.
Recently our numbers have grown but with the growth came divisiveness and a general lack of tolerance for others. Many of our old regulars chose to leave as a result (my opinion unsupported by actual evidence) and those who stayed grew claws and horns with which to fight back.
