I was in the United Arab Emirates for some of the summer of 2014, and apparently 50 C is normal there for the summer. I think the hottest I saw was 49 C, but at least it was a very humid heat!
I hate the cold, and found 120 degrees and humid to be quite tolerable for short periods if I was just walking around a little. Most parking lots had some measure of purposeful shade though, as getting in my car at the end of the work day was pretty brutal if I couldn't find a shaded spot.
