I decided while we're doing this to install an Edelbrock 2 piece timing cover. It allows cam changes without dropping the steering rack and greatly simplifies the process. A friend of mine on the west coast ended up with 2 of them so he made me a great deal on one. I just got it today. It's brand new in the box. With the 4.125 bore I can run any heads if I choose - including LS7 heads.
I may just want to run a different cam with the L92's on the 427 - who knows.
