The welding rod is 4' long and weighs 18 lbs. The stinger ( welding rod holder ) weighs 40 lbs and they weld while standing on a ladder.
For the folks who don't weld, an arc welder at home or at the shop would be set at about 90 amps for a 3/32" welding rod and around 125 amps for a 1/8" rod.
This rod , without the flux is about the size of a dime.
