I had just the center piece of mine missing for a short while (thanks to an off road excursion
) and even with that I saw a significant increase. It was somewhere in the 15-20 degree range around town. WAY more than I would have expected. As a point of reference, this was in the summer heat of Virginia Beach.
In the response above, I do concede that if you wanted to run the fans essentially all of the time it would probably bridge the gap but you are risking cycle time issues on the motors and need to keep a close eye on them if you do that.
Those fan motors tend to get angry if you run them for long periods of time.
