Car door would open - they couldn’t catch me till Sept. fish, swim, frog gig, squirrel hunt, raised raccoons two years... every morning have to get wood for main cabin heater and fireplace for night where I’d heat rocks to put in foot of bed. Main cabin was 12’ from water
Then came logging for winter heat, leaf racking (FML), ice fishing and snowmobiling when i went up for winter Cabins came to me and my siblings where we rebuilt them all. G-Pa bought place in 1929
I doctored my fishing license to buy beer at 16 LOL. They knew but was funny
Locals treated me and still do as one of their own. My brother lives there across road in 6kft log cabin on other side of peninsula on lake along with a compound 1 hr north w 600a acres.
Learned to despise the loud mouth weekly vacationers known as FIB’s
