Exactly.
Why is it that we in this country need to turn everything into a floorshow? You can't just have a football game and invite the local college band to perform at halftime. Now you have to have Beyonce or Lady Gaga doing a mini-concert. You can't have nine-innings of baseball. Now, we need to have some local organization parade around the field to remind everyone of all the good they took it upon themselves to do, have a mass-swearing in of recruits, etc. Good grief.
Just swear in the President, let him do the Inaugural Address and then everyone go home.
