No longer true. Our Alexa can distinguish between my wife's voice and my own and addresses us or behaves accordingly. Example, if my wife asks Alexa to play some music it plays a completely different genre of music than when I ask it to do the same based on our previous choices. If I ask Alexa "What's New?" it plays through a different set of news feeds than what my wife receives when she asks the same question. It replies back using our first names too.
