The theater I go to here doesn't have that restriction. While the theater may not be blamed, their no firearms policy ensured the attacker had little resistance while he executed his plan. If you want to do a massive attack, go where nobody will be firing back.

More so what worries/bothers me, is allowing people into a crowded place in costume, without proper procedures in place to confirm there's no weapons under those costumes.
