I have what's probably a stupid question but here goes.

That picture was probably taken by the guy sitting across from you with what I'd guess is a phone.

So why do we never really see any phone shots -video or stills- of the shitholes from the guys on the ground? No ragheads blown to bits, bombed buildings, dead camels, etc.

Are you not allowed to carry your phones when deployed? Your photo would suggest otherwise.

We're not allowed to show that war is ugly or people might stop supporting it.
