We did ours in pressure treated wood privacy fence 16 years ago and outside of realigning the gate once it has been trouble free and looks just as good as new.Don't buy the wood in panels at Lowes buy single boards from a building supply yard. I learned the hard way building my first deck,it lasted 4 years and with good wood this one looks great after 12 years.
