Erning's hut is about done.
Since it sits near the seawall and will get spray at high tide when it is windy we used plywood for the sea side, as the Amakan will leak if windy, and half walled it for the rest, but then use the ordinary Amakan for the upper part as it saves cost and is also cooler.
The Amakan is nailed and then bamboo strips are put on to keep it tight and gives it more support.
I already had the windows so gave them to him, the larger one was half of a window set and will not be opened, but lets in some light.
The jealousy widows at the sea side open to give him cool air from the sea.
The Nipa for the roof arrived today so will get it on this week, the bamboo is already nailed down for the Nipa to be tied to with nylon.
Just hang a door and he will be ready to move out of his hot tent into his new home later next week.
