I keep posting actual data and studies, not opinion pieces.

I encourage any debating my pro-mask stance, to post up a legitimate study showing that masks DO NOT WORK. I keep hearing, show me, prove it.... I do, but the naysayers cannot do the same. All they do is post opinion pieces that do not hold debate vale.

What is this, like the tenth time around the loop? Let me see if I can explain it another way:

My bachelor's degree is in Chemical Engineering, and I have spent a large amount of time in hazardous environments, so I know from experience this: A mask that is appropriate for the application at hand, that is properly worn and cared for, can provide tremendous protection.

You seem to want to take this to a ludicrous extreme, by concluding that ANY mask, worn, treated and cared for in ANY manner, provides significant protection from basically anything. You have ignored studies already posted in this thread demonstrating that wearing a bandana over your mouth and nose actually increases the likelihood that you will contract the virus should you come into contact with it, and continue to point to the efficacy of appropriate masks that, at least at this time, are not available to the public.

If the government was really serious about safety, they would stop the mask bullshit until appropriate masks for the application at hand are available to the general public. But they don't, because it isn't about safety, it's about control and the dissemination of fear.
