When I purchased my house in 2003, property and school taxes were $2400.
Things stayed fairly stable ( as in modest increases ) until about 10 years ago. My school taxes and property taxes are almost $5K now.
The school board is allowed to increase taxes each and every year by up to 2.7% without any special meeting any criteria
Want to venture a guess how much they go up every year without fail.
