RIP Eddie 
His story reminds me a lot of “our” cat Lilly who actually belongs to our neighbor 4 houses down. She showed up at our house 4 years ago as what we thought was a stray. Eventually she went home and they didn’t let her out for 4 months. When they finally let her out, she came right back to us. She goes outside everyday and could go “home” anytime she wants but always comes back to us.
