Your silhouette shots against the sunset belong in a magazine.
Astro is a weird discipline. Lots of prep and fiddly equipment to set up... then sitting in a camp chair watching the stars an swapping lies with other shooters for hours while a laptop does all the work. Then lots of, and I mean LOTS of post processing. But getting nice Milky Way shots is pretty easy. Wide angle fast lens, a tripod, and really dark skies are about all it takes to get started. Slippery slope, however.

Jawdrop! That's what happens to me every time I go out to take these. I lived in a big city for so long I'd forgotten what it was like to be in a truly dark location and just look up.
