Bus/boat trip yesterday to Tangier Island VA
My wife and I did a day trip yesterday with Hagey Tours down to Tangier Island VA. The very comfortable tour bus took us to Crisfield MD where we boarded the 90' Steven Thomas for the 1 hour 15 minute ride over to the island. We were greeted by a representative of Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House and we took the short walk to a family style lunch.
Both the crab cakes and the clam fritters were outstanding as were all the other sides.
Here's some pictures of the trip. The dog on the work boat was barking like mad as we headed out to Tangier Island.
The picture following the dog are entering Tangier Island. The island has 420 residents and except for a couple small work pickups , the only way around the island is walking, scooters, golf carts or bikes.
