Maybe we should stop letting the tail wag the dog. I'm curious what you mean when you say he crossed the wrong folks. What do you envision happening?
Here's my idea for the two state solution peace. Foreign aid is cut off to both sides, until they get together on their own and make it happen. My own personal idea is to make the disputed Jerusalem an autonomous nation state, somewhat like the Vatican, and ruled (constitutionally mandated) by a panel made up of 1/3 each Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Let that council figure out how to fix the potholes, keep the water and lights on, and how to provide security.
In the relationship between the US and Israel (and between the US and the Occupied Territories), the people of the US ought to be dictating the terms, not AIPAC, CAIR, Netanyahu, etc. Israel and Occupied Territories need us a heck of a lot more than we need them, especially now that we are about to have a pro-domestic energy president.
We are classic enablers, which doesn't really help anyone.
