He could hear you
I've had many nurses share stories about this and it's pretty amazing.
Also, hearing is the last remaining sense before death.
Sorry he had to leave so soon. My step dad is in the middle stages of Alzheimer's and getting to be very difficult for Mom to manage.
I help where I can but it is painful to watch.
