Yeah, after all those years in the Navy, at sea, of working weeks/months on end with no days off, 18-hr workdays, etc., this is a refreshing change!
I keep polling my bosses in D.C. to let me ride a ship now and then for operational purposes, but the opportunities are few and far between! Last time was about 4 yrs ago now doing another op experiment.
