I could have retired at 44 if I wanted. Paid off house in the suburbs. Would have been very comfortable. Instead I kept at it, bought 34 acres and built a 6k sqft house on the lake.
Closing on the 32 acres next door and will retire comfortably at 55. In 8 years.
