Here's the scenario... we moved south from Massachusetts in 89 at which time I could spend an entire day ice fishing, breaking the holes open every 20 minutes or so and baiting hooks by sticking a bare hand in the bait bucket for a fresh minnow.
Fast forward to today keeping in mind the high temp here yesterday was 89.
Opening day of deer season I'm up at 5:30 and the thermo says 58. I don brush pants, a tee and an expedition weight chamois shirt and hit the trail.
By dawn the temp inland is 54 and the wind is blowing 15-25 mph steady from the west. I actually had to go hide in my truck. Twice. I am used to mid 90s with a 105-110 index not this!
