The primary function of schools is to be the #1 contributor for socialist pols.
Schools are a joke, they have no standards for performance, core testing is down every year and the competencies of those we graduate is far below many other countries that spend much less per student.

I have interacted with the principal and teachers in the the public school system to confirm they are idiots, only care about the politics at their school, and ignore every parental request.
You know the old saying, if you are frustrated with the system, change the system, or leave, I recommend leaving, it will be much less stressful.
BTW, any time a teacher tells you that do not get paid enough, remind them they only work 180 days/year, about 7 hours/day, and pay nothing towards their benefits.

So now use $61K salary /1,260 hours and pay is $49/hour, I know nurses who have licenses for 30+ years and they only earn $42/hour, while paying 50% of their benefits.
