Younger I had a very bad temper and would back it up hands on if needed.
Had a bunch of fights over the years but then as I grew older (mid 20s) I realized it was just not worth it. Of course today at 77 my fighting days are hopefully way over.
Even in my younger days I normally did not throw the first punch (legal reasons) but many times the last.
