Remembering some other friends I lost on 9/11. Rest In Peace Sandy, Jerry, Dave, and Marian, whose service my wife and I attended. May you look down on your loved ones with joy in your hearts and the Lord bring them comfort on this day of remembrance. We miss you.
Marian was one of the hardest workers I ever met but always smiling and laughing. She was so proud of her daughter. Sandy was a flower child who always had classic rock playing at her desk. Dave was a diehard Broncos fan and a talented jazz musician. Jerry always went out of his way to help with difficult tasks. I also worked alongside a survivor who suffered horrible burns and was met by President Bush in the hospital, LTC Brian Birdwell, who’s now a Texas state senator. Dedicated hard working types you’d want to know. Salt of the earth every one of them.
