I actually saw the story very briefly on CBS this morning. They said something to the effect of, "well, it's a bad look," and then moved on. They didn't go in depth about it, comparing it to barbers who have been jailed for the same kind of shit, etc.
They mentioned it in passing, I guess so they could say, "look, we mentioned it, OK?"
