I thought about that. I also wonder why they didn't radio for help, although it looked like the passenger eventually got his cell phone out to do so.

But what are the two options for them?

A: Wait for the bullet proof glass to finally fail and get shot like a sitting duck, or

B: Get out, expose yourself more to fire, but have the ability to fight back, to take the fight to the enemy.

Scary times either way.
