We allow political posts to stay here because all the traffic is here. They have always been here but with the election coming up, there is an increase in frequency.
We have had people mention that they don’t want to mistakenly go into political threads. Therefore, a [Political] tag is added to threads that are political in nature but may not have a title that makes it obvious. It may take us a minute to add the tag because we’re not here 24/7. (Threads that are clearly political based on the thread title don't need the tag.)
Adding the tag will allow people that claim to hate political threads to avoid them.
