Years ago when i was stationed in Seoul, my little brother came to visit just before Christmas. We ended up at the Namdaemun Market and there was all sorts of winter clothing on sale at the outdoor stands. Well, we found something for his best friend who we still refer to as "Asian Steve" because he's half Fillipino and looks nothing like their friend "Fat Steve."
Anyway, we buy these winter gloves and send it to him for Christmas. Not long after he opened the presents a few weeks later, my brother gets a phone call and I get an email about the gift. Man, his fillipino mom was pissed when he showed her what we sent when he opened the box.
It was a pair of black ski gloves that had the adjustable, embroidered wrist strap. The wrist strap was embroidered with 3 white K's on it. That had to be the best gift we ever sent anyone and he still has the gloves.
