1984 started around 2017 with full force out in CA. Of course it started way before that, but it was clearly evident everywhere about 5 years ago.
I just took a CA survey in exchange for a Target gift card (Have been there 4 times in 30 years). It was 5 questions---what was your sex at birth, what sex do you identify as, what is your sexual orientation, and what is your race. I checked the 'prefer not to answer' box on each question and got my card. Meanwhile, our country tanks. Crazy.
