Looks like they will be hiring about 275 people back. The company had laid off about 300 when the pot rooms shut down. Altogether there were 600 jobs lost when we shut them down.
Does make things feel a little better at work knowing we will be getting molten metal instead of being a cold metal Aluminum rolling mill

As a machinist, this makes me happy. Not only is a USA based metal producer going back on line, the upgrades create or keep more jobs and the investment in the upgrade also translate into better profits.
