My former employer kept sending me emails at least once a month trying to get me back.
The one was "what position would you like and what can I do to achieve that?"
I didn't think it would be proper to state I would would like to be a pallbearer at his burial so I just replied that I was extremely happy with my new job.
The emails finally stopped when I moved my 401(k) to my new employer
