Montgomery County Judge offers to hold it at their convention center! (Montgomery County is just north of Houston, for those not from Texas)
Personally, I think it's a good idea. Blue Houston and Harris County don't deserve all the revenue from the convention. Their hotels, restaurants, shops, etc. can lose the business, and they can thank Hizzoner the mayor for that.
Reminds me of Sandy Cortez fighting Amazon and subsequently losing a big assed Amazon facility that would have been built in her district. Yay, team! And the idiots of her district voted for her again anyway. **** that, we don't want jobs! We just want free shit and to hate whitey!
