Every snake oil salesman has a pitch. The difference is being able to smell the BS or not. When they gave up shaming for bribing, I knew that I wasn't going anywhere near that crap. When they gave up bribing for threatening, I knew that I was right.
Looking at it from an outsider's point of view, their whole scheme was ridiculously transparent and more than a little hokey. And the way the MSM would change their talking points in unison should have convinced the most skeptical. Same phrases, same buzzwords. Almost as if they were reading a script.
