It will leak when it gets hot. It will leak steam and not pressurize which may help you because if it won't pressurize, it may not push liquid out.

I don't want to talk you into doing anything that might damage it further. I can only tell you what I would do.

ME:
1. Stay where I am as late as possible to avoid getting caught in traffic.
2. Take roads where I know I can get water if needed
3. watch the temp gauge (if there is one)
4. No radical driving/stomping the gas etc.
