The Hill Country also has vineyards, distilleries, and breweries scattered about. Actually, an animal rescue with which I volunteer had an even at a whiskey distillery...and driving to my Mom's this past weekend, I realized there was a brewery and tap room just down the street...both in SA city limits.
I've lived here so long, I'm sure there's a lot more to discover than I'm seeing, these days.
