We still pay CRV at the time of sale but almost all recyclers of cans stopped doing it because the money wasn't there to support the effort (labor and whatnot) but Cali still takes the money for CRV. Now the waste company gives you a "recycle" bin to put them in and I'm sure they recycle them for the cash. Friggin racket! Seriously thinking about turning an old fridge into a kegorator.
