He started having a cough that he never had before...took him to the vet who then recommended he be rushed to the emergency vet/hospital. He was put on oxygen, IV, cath, etc.
Unfortunately my suspicion of congestive heart failure is confirmed
he is at early stages and on a bunch of meds to control it as long as we can. Sadly, this is common in Boxers (our third Boxer had this as well). He is home resting comfortably, eating again, and ambulating well.

Indeed.
This has been an emotionally and physically draining weekend for me...have cried many tears and am absolutely exhausted. Sleep deprived, stomach in knots, dehydrated, neck glands swollen, and canker sores...all things that happen to me when I'm stressed (I have a very low immune system that I have to keep an eye on).
