Yeah. I'm still investigating why my family left Bavaria in 1852. There was some religious persecution going on there at that time, so it could be that. They could have been in some kind of legal trouble or owed someone a lot of money. They also could have came here for opportunity. But the first one was a Brewmeister. Why would he leave Bavaria and come to a city run by Methodists and Catholics that outlawed selling beer on Sunday?
