A very good friend lost his son to a
something stupid accident. His son was taught proper firearm safety from the time he was a little boy. My buddy is as responsible as anyone here with firearms.
His son was hanging out with some friends who were NOT as responsible. He wasn't happy with the way his friends were handling a firearm, told them 'this ain't a ****ing toy' and long story short, the thing discharged and he was killed. (No it wasn't intentional there were multiple witnesses.)
My point is you can control one thing -your thing- and that's all you can do.
Something stupid happens despite our best intentions.
