I did some further testing. The noise kicks on like switch when the car shifts to 2nd gear. Whatever it is has to be in the transmission. Leaving it in first, I can get up to 40 and the noise is not there. Starting in 2nd it is there. It is someting mrelated to the part of the tranny not involved in 1st or reverse.
