of course Dad had to retire to a town that lives and dies on tourism. was never an issue when we visited before, we just stayed in one of the bedrooms. but now, as we face clearing the house out, and getting rid of all the furniture and beds....hmmm...where are we going to sleep the last few days once everything is gone.
well, brilliant me thinks: pfft, we'll just stay at the brand new Hampton about 1/2 mile the house. nice place, it'll be fine. go to reserve a room.....oops. sold out.
check other hotels in town.....also all sold out.
it's high tourism season, the place is packed.
on to Plan L.....we might be able to get one room for one or two nights right before we finally depart, and we get rid of the last bed.
