Sounds encouraging though. Especially if it topped at only that while idling/in traffic.
If you went for an aftermarket like a Dewitt's, that will be much more effective than the stock radiator (in perfect condition) ever was. The fans may not even need to run in all but the most extreme conditions now.
Sucks that it had to be the most expensive component, but hoping you finally got it solved.
