I have to agree with DAB. I have one of those, and to say that IT IS NOT a range gun, is an understatement. IMO, it is not an every day carry, it is a backup gun. Without a doubt, in a pinch, it will get someone off of you, but it would not be the choice for a gun noob. If you want to get something relatively small, and could be used as a range/carry gun, I recommend the Springfield XDM in 9mm. It has a grip safety etc and is very compact. The LCP is a double action only gun, and while I do carry mine as a backup, it is never a primary. Just my .02 though Spence.
