Latest I’ve seen is that the armed citizen fired, hitting the shooter in the side, between the body armor. The shooter dropped his rifle, and with a hostage, drove off. A guy just driving up got the armed citizen and chased the shooter down at high speed. The shooter lost control and ran off the road. The guys persuing him had been relaying their position to the police. They supposedly covered the shooter while allowing the hostage to get out of the vehicle. Cops showed up and shooter was dead already. Probably from blood loss from his wounds.
