It's way past time to l at the involuntary commitment laws and adjust them so the violence prone nutcases can be helped. It will also stop them from getting firearms.

I agree in principle but it’s a fine line again. A bitter ex spouse or relative, neighbor, acquaintance with a grudge claims you are dangerous and now the burden of proof is on you and all your legally owned firearms are confiscated and you are incarcerated in a mental facility. Need to be very careful when talking about that kind of law
